Excello recording artist Ole Sonny Boy ('You Better Change' / 'Blues And Misery', Excello 2086, 1956) has said to be a pseudonym for Papa Lightfoot but according to Martin Hawkins (liner notes of A Shot In The Dark -boxset, Bear Family 2000) it may actually be J.D. Horton, another New Orleans-based musician who recorded also one single in Nashville as J.D. Horton. ('Cadillac Blues' / 'Why Don't You Let Me Be', Bullet 350, 1952). 'You Better Change' & 'Blues And Misery' are reissued on LP "Suckin' And Blowin - Harmonica Blues" (Sundown CG-709-03, 198? NL) and on 2-CD "Blues Hangover - Excello Blues Rarities" (Excello-Avi CD 2002, 1995 US/Excello CD 4202, 1997 US). 'Cadillac Blues' & 'Why Don't You Let Me Be' (Bullet 350, 1952) are reissued on 8-CD "A Shot In The Dark - Nashville Jumps" (Bear Family BCD 15864 HL, 2000 GER) and 'Cadillac Blues' on 2-CD "Harmonica Blues, Vol.2 : 1946-1952 (Fremeaux & Associes FA 5059, 2003 FRA).
