Note: White blues/jazz musician and actor James R. Pobiega (born in Justice, IL, August 23, 1950) has also used the stage name Little Howling Wolf. Pobiega started his own record label Solidary Solidarnosc Records (with its subsidiaries Alcatraz, Beacon & Justice) in the 1970's, and has thus far released, besides various 45rpm singles, three full length albums: "The Guardian" (1982), "The Cool Truth" (1985) and "Brave Nu World" (2005). Another Little Howlin' Wolf moniker was used by Chicago blues artist Lee Solomon, a regular sight at the West Side club scene, who died of cancer in 2005 at age 75. There is also a blues group operating around the Oakland, California area called Little Wolf & the Hellcats (featuring black lead singer Malik 'Little Wolf' Shabazz, born in Chester, Texas c. 1943) that has released at least one CD "The Blues Got Soul" (ILBCNU 495187) in 2006.
